Situating tool

This is my first post after returning back to college. I am very happy to be back as we could catch up with our friends as well with our studies and are preparing for the semester end exam. As I am writing down this reflection, I can see that we have come to the very end of my blog.

Today we learned many new things. Like using google maps and finding places. We also learned how to calculate time of different places. Then we learned about ICT as a situating tool. We were given the ppt and a research paper on it a long time before but finally we look at it deeply.

We were taught how we can situate people in the learning. We did an example using linear equation, where were were asked to plot graphs using grapgcals. It was really fun and useful. After using the graphcals I understood and imagine how the graph is going to form before we even plot the graph in the grid paper. I wished we were taught that during our school times.

We did fine places using google maps. I have used google maps before, but today I learned some new features on google maps like we can check the distance of one place to another. I even learned that we can see the latitude and longitude of any place from google maps.

From this class I learned a lot. As we were learning for three hours, we even learned about the PhET simulations that we can using in the class. It is a simulation which can give us a real life situation for doing some experiment. It was really fun to try those simulations. I am hoping to using them in the future.
